Well some freinds and I go to a gym every now and again and we noticed they have a cage, We first joked about having fights in their but now it looks like it going to happen. Its not just regular old MMA fighting though, its extreme MMA. Our first video could be online very soon and i just wanted to know what you think about it.

Here are the details.

BIG CHANGE TO THE EVENT

1st change there will now be 3 seperate matches.
2nd there will be 2 qualifying matches and 1 final
3rd there will be 4 man in each match
4th The final will be made up of the 1st and 2nd place fighters of the qualifiers.

Any ideas/opinions/questions?

i'm not sure about it. because i and some friends did something similar 2 years ago. we had some boxing gloves and started to fight a little. then we took off the gloves one day and had some MMA style fights. one of my friends lost a tooth, bleeding noses and some other things happened. but maybe you are more friendly to each other.

Haha, this scared me for a second....I thought we were going to war with another Forum or something.

well we have gloves and headgear. weve also had boxing matches with each other so it should be ok.

go for it and no rule so poke someone in the eye for me

origionally it was no rules and no protection but we decided someone would break there nose so we are using some protection. oh and no boots/shoes either so kicking will be a big part (of my game plan at least)

and it looks like you will have a reach disadvantage. you should try to ground 'n' pound much.

thats my key skill lol, that and kicking. anyway ive beaten someone who was 6'2 in a boxing match. so im confident in my ability to dodge. but i think this match will be more about will power than anything.

and how did you obtain this awesome fighting skill of yours

well, 3 years of karate, 1 of judo, learning MMA from my brothers freind for a couple of months.

and what about the others do they have all that too

some have karate, some have boxing and some have fights at school lol

that was more me the fights at school was bigger then most and was on wrestling team so most never messed with me but for the few that did they found out i didnt fight to look pretty i fought to win would poke in the eye, scratch them, punch in the nuts, kick in the nuts, kick them while they were down, used to say "i dont fight,i devastate"

well thats kinda like this but no low blows,all the training will go out the window and it'll be a brawl

are you taping these fights havent seen that if you are so we can watch

lol, looks like everybody here had some fight training. i had Karate training for some years, and our trainer was a big MMA fan when it just started around 2000. so he started to learn jiu-jitsu and after the regular karate lessons he showed us some submission holds if we wanted. and i wanted to. get somebody into a kimura or rear naked choke and victory is yours.

were all a bunch of bad asses

we are going to try and film the fights but it might be hard to get good angles, theres also some problem with the cage at the minute(something about re-padding the floor and supports) so we arent sure it the first fights will be cage or a normal kickboxing ring.
